We're Back!!!

We are back from our wonderful trip to Atlantis in the Bahamas. To look at the pictures just double click on the picture at the top to the left. This place was certainly paradise and worth every penny. I highly recommend this resort. The accomodations we had in the Royal Towers were in the perfect spot, right in the middle of everything. There were aquariums and water slides everywhere. The kids were in heaven with 20 pools and the beach to choose from everyday to swim in. Alicia joined us for the trip and enjoyed gambling for the first time at the casino. She also joined the kids during the dolphin encounter where they were able to touch the dolphins while in the water with them. This is certainly a place for anyone who loves marine animals and swimming all the time. We had great weather the whole time with a shower of rain to cool things off each day. The day we left there was a huge storm going across Fort Lauderdale, FL where our flight was supposed to land to catch our connecting flight to Houston. Because of the storm, our flight from the Bahamas was delayed by 4 hours, missing our connection. Continental was nice enough to put us up for the night in a hotel with dinner and breakfast paid. We had no clothes though, because the luggage made it to Houston. The next day we made it back home and found our luggage. Back to reality!

Catch Up

I am doing such a terrible job of keeping you updated with all that is going on with our families. I have been swamped with work. This whole idea of management wanting to work with offshore groups is the pits. It does nothing but create more work for the people onshore and the communication is horrible. My crew is in Pune, India and maybe one out of 12 can speak an understandable English. I guess I'll live with it until we can prove to management that it is not much of a cost saving to use offshore personnel.
The kids are all out of school now.Denise and Brianna finished with all kind of awards for music, A honor roll, perfect attendance and art. They are excited to be out for the summer and only have piano lessons to study. Alicia is in Michigan visiting her grandma, she returns on Saturday to get ready to take off to the Bahamas with us next week. Her volleyball practices begin at the end of July which unfortunately cuts her summer short. Celeste has decided to take a Physics II course during the summer so she has remained in Austin. We had the pleasure of visiting her apartment last weekend while we were in Austin for our nephew's high school graduation.
Congratulations Josh and lots of luck with what you choose to do as a profession. We had a great time visiting with the Baugnons and the Shaffers and can't wait to see everyone again for the 4th of July.

My Little Dancing Princess

Brianna had her recital this past Saturday. It was not a year for the major recital so it was actually called a demonstration. She was only required to buy one leotard for two dance routines, one for ballet and one for tap. Also, we didn't have to sit through the whole recital that usually lasts about 4 hours. For the demo, we were there to see Brianna's class and about 6 other classes of different ages. After the dances, the trophies were given to all the students who have taken more than 4 years of dance. My little princess was so happy to get a trophy.
